Cinderella's Castle

Isn't it just Beautiful.
This picture inspired me to write a poem about its beauty.

Cinderella's Castle
Strolling toward Cinderella's Castle
In the icy cold weather of December
Is such a magical moment
Gazing at the lights
In such awe
To see a beautiful thing
Become even more beautiful
Just like a fairytale
Soft wisps of snow
Started falling to the ground
The glittering lights
Seemed to invite everyone
Swarms of people came
From all over the huge park
As the exquisite show started
Loud & colorful fireworks stared the show
Then the light parade came
Everything and everyone
Were covered
In both
BIG and little lights
From head to toe
I felt as though
I was in a never to end dream
As the show ended
The crisp, clean snow
Had made a white blanket
Over the whole Walt Disney World
It was so Magical
Until next time
I will have this wonderful
Winter, Wonderland memory
Forever.

Mickey #1

Sorry I didn't get to my hidden Mickey yesterday. I was VERY busy.
Here's mine.
This so happened while Anna Rose was playing with her
puff-ball things. I don't know what they're called. She made it and said (while shaking her shoulders) "Sissy, Ninnie" or "Look it's Minnie"

Barracos on the Bayou

Today my lovely family and I went to pick up my cousin (said in best Cajun accent) who lives in New Orleans.  We met my grandparents at this little place in.........Sorrento.  At this little place called Cajun Village.  For starters when we pulled up to the "village" and our grandparents had just pulled up.  First we went to this antique store. I took this picture for you Ami.  :) I know you love antiques. Mom will have to take all of us there for a field trip sometime. Well this picture is for Y-O-U. Isn't it cute. I know this might sound wired but I loved the doors on all the "cabins" they were BIG and they had the old glass doorknobs, they were so pretty.

Next we went to the gift shop.  Anna got antsy, so I took her outside on the porch. They were playing Cajun music.  They also had a play guitar that had no strings so I gave it to her and she started lip singing with the guitar.  Dad even got the guitar and started "playing".  Here is a picture of our star.

And our other star. Boy was he havin' fun.

And this picture is for my best friend, Catie to drool over.  They were all really good. : )
(just kidding)

In the gift shop there was this gumball machine that looked like a old gas pump.
Here's the picture:

Then we went to see the Alligators.
Here is a better picture.  Well........ a little better.

We ended our day with beignets. YUMMMM. And chocolate milk.
Coffee for the adults. :{
All of us had a great day.
And until Wednesday we have an extra child. Well a 17 year old.

Mickey Madness

Like I have said in a previous blog post we are BIG Disney fans. When I mean BIG I mean BIG. We just got back in Febuary and it all ready feals like we've been gone for YEARS. The other day Gianna and I were waching the Disney Plainning DVD and by the time it was over she was in tears. I mean BIG, tears as if someone would have given her some M&M's then took it and ate it in front of her. It was sad and so was she. Then the next day I was watching T.V. and a Disney commercial came on and felt like crying (felt like crying, I did'nt though). We go every year. So now you what I mean by saying that we're BIG Disney fans right? Well if you don't here are a few (and I use the term loosely) pictures for this past short-but fun vacaion. We teese Dad all the about seeing Mickeys in EVERYTHING.  What I mean is whenever we see two small cercles on top of a big cercle we say it's a Mickey Mouse, and the funny thing is he HATES it.

A Cutie With A Cookie

Just the other day I had just made a big batch of cookies. Well guess who saw..... if you said Anna, you are right.  Here are the cookies.  And yes that cookie is Mickey Mouse. For you who don't know us we are BIG, I mean B-I-G Disney fans (that's anther blog post).

At first she didn't know what to do with it.

Then I said "Anna eat it" and she did.  And boy did she enjoy it.

Here is the recipe for my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies:
1 cup of butter (soft),
1 cup of sugar,
1 cup of brown sugar,
2 eggs,
2 cups of flour
1 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. of baking soda
2 cups of oats,
1 cup of chocolate chips
1 cup of nuts (optional)

Cream the butter & sugar.  Blend in the eggs. Mix in the dry ingredients the add it to the butter mix, then put in the chocolate chips and/or nuts.  Bake @ 350* for 12-14 minutes.
And enjoy :)

~The Father-Daughter Picnic~

My Dad and I went to a Father-Daughter picnic last Friday on April, 17th.  I had never been to one before, so I didn't know what it would be like.  Some very good friends came too, three words. IT WAS GREAT.
Like I said, it was a Father-Daughter picnic so that was a great opportunity for fathers and daughters to bond and talk.  Everyone was dressed in Church attire and everyone looked very nice, some girls wore gloves and smocked dresses others wore their Easter dresses. The Dads wore nice dress slacks and some wore ties. They looked nice too. They had a speaker came and talk about courtship.  It was so intriguing. Because just the night before my Mom and I had watched "Return Of The Daughters" and that was really good, I definitely reccoemend it. It was really good that Mom and I watched it because she explained everything to me, to where I could understand it.  What Mr. Barry (the speaker) was talking about totally had me on the edge of my seat going "ohhhhh, I so want to do that!!" and I really meant it.

Here are a few pictures I thought you would enjoy.
These are my sisters.....well they're not blood related but their still family.
Me and My Daddy.

This is only time that I got to wright on the table.
What can I say.  The Dads are the ones that gave in.
Maybe we should ask the Dads more often.... I like that idea.

As the girls as I were walking toward this BEAUTIFUL lakefront we happened to come a cross these little fellas

A mom, dad and baby goslings.
They were so CUTE.
all in all the picnic was G-R-E-A-T.  If they have one next year I look forward to going.
